FAQ
Q: How do I compile and run the CVS source?
A: Get the cvs source either using the
directions or by downloading the
Nightly Tarball or
Nightly Zipball. You then need to
download the development data set.
Unzip the data set (and source, if you used the tarball).
Then run "javac -classpath . engine/*.java"
(assuming the javac program is in your path). Then run
"java engine.engineApp". Eventually, when we
get to a release stage, we will have jar files which are
much easier to work with. Also, please note that the CVS
tree is NOT stable. The QuickD team is not responsible if it
doesn't compile, doesn't work, teases your kid sister, erases
your hard drive, smells funny, or anything else bad. Use at your
own risk.
Q: What is it?
A: QuickD is an extendable 2D driving engine, built on java
technology.
Q: When will anything happen on this project?
A: We have just begun this project, so please give us a month
or two to get a solid base built.
Q: What can I do to help?
A: Visit to the Project
Page and you may contact us via that to inquire how to contribute
to the project.
Q: My question hasn't been answered, what do I do
now?
A: Visit the Project Page
and either post to the "Help" forum or submit a support request
tracker item. If you don't have or don't want to create a
sourceforge account, you can *try* sending e-mail to one of
the project admins, but a response is NOT guaranteed
